Plato's Closet Coupon!

Hey Guys!

I have a suggestion for you today.

Look up your local Plato's Closet location on Facebook and "Like" them!

They always post about great items that come into the store and sometimes they even post special deals and coupons, ONLY for Facebook followers.

Here is one that I received from one of the Plato's Closet locations near me in Snellville, GA.

Let me know if you have any success in finding coupons in your local area.

I know where I'll be going this weekend :-)

Have a great week!

a little bit of leopard...

Today was another one of those days where I wanted to be business appropriate, but still a little fun.

I found this cute leopard print belt at Kohl's recently and have been waiting for just the right outfit combination. This black blazer is from Plato's Closet ($8)

These pants have been a big staple in my wardrobe. They are from Forever 21 and were only $13.99!

And we can't forget to mention the new Tory Burch leopard print iPhone cover ($6 on Amazon!)

Goes great with the outfit! Rrrrrrrrr!

pink & black

We had a work function after work this day, so I decided to dress up a little bit more than usual.

But, again, need to bring a little "Chelsea" out in every outfit.

I apologize, the lighting is not very good today...

My black pants & black blazer are both from Plato's Closet ($8 each).

You can't really tell, due to the lighting, that the shirt is a bubble gum pink, with an adorable black bow! It was on sale months ago at H&M for $4.95. I have been waiting for just the right time to break it out.

It's a great conversation starter :-)

my bad...

I know, I know, it has been a LONG time since my last post.

It has been a struggle getting used to my new work schedule and all of the Fall activities we have going on.

But, I'm back!

Here is an outfit that I wore to work this week. It has been a big transition for me to go from my previous work environment (casual every day) to my new one (business every day).

I like to try to bring a bit of myself into the work place though.

I showed you this shirt in a previous post, but I finally found the perfect bottoms to pair it with. The shirt is from Plato's Closet (originally from Zara) and it the most interesting fabric (silk with sweater sleeves).

You can't really tell in the top picture, but the pants are a warm brown with cream polka dots (you know how I love polka dots). They are from Ross $16.99 and they fit great, really stretchy.

I also bought some amazing shoes recently from Target (buy 1, get 1 50% off). They are nude colored suede wedges (also in black).

Lastly, I paired it with this amazing necklace- $2 @ Plato's Closet!

More to come!

long/short skirt

I have been on the lookout for more "office" friendly pieces lately.

This skirt is an ideal choice for me. It is a long, polka dot skirt, with a short black skirt underneath.

I wouldn't quite classify it as a "high low" skirt, but it is definitely not a 1990's long flowered skirt either.

love the pattern!

and the price!

I am thinking of wearing this with a white shirt, tucked in of course, and a BIG black belt.

Ideas?

different fabrics

I was SO excited when I found this shirt at Plato's Closet recently.

It is sooooo interesting to me, and for that reason alone, I had to have it!

The body of the shirt is silk (please notice the immense amount of wrinkles). The arms are a thin sweater material that is very soft!

I have never shopped at Zara before, but based on this shirt, I think I would like it.

I also love the simple gold button closure.

Now the question is...what to pair it with? Some skinny jeans? A big statement necklace?

color blocking

It's been a while since my last post...super crazy time, starting a new job and preparing for a friend's wedding shower.

Speaking of...today I want to show you this AMAZING dress that I wore to the shower yesterday.

It is, of course, from Plato's Closet.

This is probably one of the best finds I have had in a LONG time!

I LOVE the v-neck and soft color pallete

The button was actually missing, so I replaced it with one of my own :-)

pleats!

Here's the best part...

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend!

fall wish list

I had a very successful weekend shopping at Goodwill on Saturday.

Pictures and posts to come :-)

Today I want to show you the things I have on my wish list for this fall. It can sometimes be hard to find specific things that you are looking for, while trying to be thrifty. But, you'd be amazed at what you can find when you least expect it.

the perfect chambray shirt

I have been looking for a chambray shirt for months. This is difficult to find at Goodwill because most of the chambray or "jean shirts" tend to have flower or Christmas appliqués (lol). And, if a chambray shirt becomes available at Plato's Closet, it is snatched up right away due to it's popularity.

brown oxford heels

A pair of brown oxford heels will be a must! I am thinking that a look I will like for the fall is wearing fun colored tights with dresses and skirts. These will be the perfect touch to finish off the outfit.

patterned leggings

This is probably number 1 on my list. How comfortable do those look? I just want to curl up with some hot chocolate and watch a movie on the couch :-) Again, like the chambray shirt, I think these will be harder to find at my local stomping grounds, but I will be keeping an eye out.

What's on your fall wish list?

green? grey?

Yesterday was Day 2 at the new job. Which means I'm so busy I have to take pictures in the bathroom on my breaks from training :-)

This is what information overload looks like! Ahhhhh!

I found this cardigan at Plato's Closet recently. It is the most interesting color. I LITERALLY don't know what to call it. It's not green; it's not grey...what do you call green/grey?

I have recently started tucking my shirts in lately. What are your thoughts on tucking?

Cardigan: (the Limited) Plato's Closet $12.00
*This cardigan still had the tags on it from the Limited. It was originally $49.90, so I think my $12 price tag was a steal.

I really fell in love with the feel of the fabric and the pattern.

And of course, I finished the outfit off with my favorite brown wedges. They make me super tall and fee really authoritative, which is always good in a new environment.

new day, new shirt

Disclaimer: I started a new job yesterday, so these pictures were taken in the beautiful bathroom of my new office.

In preparing for my first day at my new job, I of course needed a new spunky outfit to say, "HEY JOB, THIS IS ME!"

After I put this outfit together I realized this entire outfit, minus accessories, is from Plato's Closet.

White skinny jeans: (the Limited) Plato's Closet $8.00

Blazer: (Target) Plato's Closet $6.00

Top: (H&M) Plato's Closet $5.00

I like that this shirt is fitted with the side zipper.

Love the semi Peter Pan collar

Finished off with my most favorite Target sandals

I promise that I won't have too many more work bathroom photo sessions. I'm breaking down and actually getting a full length mirror. I have been standing on the side of my bath tub to get the full view, since we moved in over a year ago :-)

shoes

Don't forget about SHOES during your trip to Plato's Closet!

I had searched far and wide looking for just the right brown wedge sandal.

These are perfect for me! They are comfortable and just the right cognac color to match my favorite belt.

And...a steal at only $10!

I also found these cute nude/blush colored flats.

These were only $6 and are great with so many different outfits.

Oh and did I mention...

I got my very own navy blue chevron print coupon organizer in the mail from GrandmasLittleLilly!!

Keep spreading the word about Mrs. Skeels Deals so we can give away one of these adorable & functional organizers!!
